Francisco Domenech, Puerto Rico’s Shining Star

Politank is a government affairs law firm. It specializes in coming up with strategies dealing with public forums between government officials and private entities. Francisco J. Domenech is the Managing Partner of the company.

From 2005 until 2008, Domenech worked as the Director of the Office of Legislative Services at the P.R. Legislative Assembly. During this period, he made made groundbreaking changes to the organization. He made the most out of the 130 employees of the organization, expanding the services of the Legislative Library, bringing accessibility to the physically handicapped. He was also a legal representative off the Senate, providing legal advice to representatives. He was the middle man between outside counsel and the Senate. He also mediated between lobbyists and law makers.

Domenech attended college at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, obtaining a B.A. in political science. He also gained a Juris Doctor from the university. During the 99-00 school year, Domenech was the President of the Student Body Council. He also served as an Academic Senator during his time at the university. Domenech also went to the University College London, studying comparative law.

From 2007 until 2012, Domenech served as a member of the DNC, working as a represenitive of the Young Democrats of America. In 2008, he served as a delegate.

One of Domenech’s most recent accomplishments was helping Jenniffer Gonzalez become the first woman to represent Puerto Rico in Congress. He served as her Campaign Manager in 2016.

Domenech also received recognition in 2016 from readers of Caribbean Business. PhilipeSchoene, the Executive Editor of Caribbean Business, revealed that Domenech received more votes than any one else for their 40 under 40 list. A total of 59 people were nominated for the list. 19 of those didn’t make the cut.

Francisco Domenech is also a philanthropist, supporting a variety of noble causes alongside Politank. He supports The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, The Clinton Foundation, the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, The Washington Center for Internships, and many other incredible causes.
