Former Viper Drummer Cassio Audi

The name Cassio Audi is well known to fans of heavy metal music from around the world, and particularly those who were part of the 1980s and 90s growth of heavy metal in Brazil. Cassio Audi first came to the attention of music fans around the world as the drummer for the Brazilian band, Viper, who were one of the leaders in the expansion of the heavy metal scene in Latin America when they were formed with all the members still in their teenage years; Audi played a key part in the development of Viper during their early years as the drummer of a band that took the majority of their influences from 1970s and 80s British heavy metal bands, such as Iron Maiden.

The growth of Viper took the band from humble origins to global success that has continued over a number of decades, but for Cassio Audi the Viper years came to an end in 1989 after he felt his time with the band had come to a natural end. Audi appeared on some of the most important recordings from Viper dating back to 1985 when the group recorded their first demo, known as “The Killera Sword”. The drummer also appeared on the 1987 debut album of Viper, “Soldiers of Sunrise”.

After leaving Viper, Cassio Audi took his life in a completely new direction that saw him develop his career as a financial expert who has a great interest in developing the investment opportunities available to everyday Brazilians who do not often feel they are given the chance to engage with the major investment opportunities given to people at the highest end of economic success. After receiving his MBA from Sao Paulo University, Cassio Audi has gone on to work for many of the leading financial companies in Brazil.
